Newly remodeled in 2003, this quiet retreat offers a rustic pine interior with all the amenities needed to enjoy your Maine vacation. Situated near the lower half of the lake, the cottage is nestled in dense pine and oak trees. The lake is quiet with very little power boating and is more geared towards canoing and kayaking. It is a nature lovers paradise, with good chances of seeing ospreys, beavers, turtles, loons and many other bird species. The cottage is situated 15 minutes from the midcoast of Maine. You can explore Damariscotta and the Penobscot Bay areas for antiquing, outdoor pursuits, lighthouses, maritime museums, historic forts and coastal beaches. Rates are $600/week or $100/day, except in July and August, which are $700/week or $120/day -- with a 2 night minimum. |
